Christmas and New years Eve 2011

I am so sad that the Holidays have come and gone so fast. I did not want to put my tree away it looked so pretty and cozy in my family room. I think the Christmas season brings so much joy and I love all the fun parties and get togethers.
We celebrated Chris's birthday a week early at his parents house so that we could just focus on him. With his birthday being on Christmas Eve sometimes he gets pushed to the side a bit with all the other traditions. He got a road bike for his birthday and to be honest I am a little worried, but I am glad he will have a hobby that is also good for his health! Christmas was so fun this year! Owen and Olivia are getting older and getting more excited for Santa to come and Owen was very convinced that he saw Rudolph guiding Santa's sleigh and also could here him on our roof. Santa brought Owen beyblades, a scooter and a remote control helicopter. Santa brought Olivia a tea set, and a American doll itty bitty baby. Santa brought Evan a cozy blanket and pillow and jammies. Every year I feel so blessed and wish I could simplify Christmas. I know it is fun for kids to get presents but sometimes I feel like I am focused on that too much. I want my kids to feel grateful for what they have instead of focusing on what they don't have or want. Hopefully I can be better prepared for next year and help my kids find the simplicity of Christmas which is the birthday of our dear Savior.
New years eve we celebrated with Chris's friends and Owen and Olivia got to go to Grandma Jody's which they were in heaven about and had so much fun playing games and eating treats!
So here is to the new year 2012, I have a feeling it is going to be great!

Owen Turns seven

Owen's birthday was on December 1st and this year it was a friend party. I was very hesitant to do one, but I have to say it was fun and actually not too out of control as I suspected. He choose to do a Bey blade battle party and as of now that is what he is into and talks about constantly! I can't believe he is seven and I am ready for him to stop growing up. He is such a Daddy's boy and looks forward to any night alone with him. He is always making lists of what to do on their guys night out, and it is just the cutest thing ever. I am so grateful for him and I'm so glad that he is mine forever and ever. Love you Owen!

Evan and Hunter

Ever since Evan was born Hunter has been left out completely, poor fella. But now that Evan is a little bit bigger Hunter is slowly making his way back into our family. Evan gets so excited when he comes around and Hunter is extremely good with him! All we need now is a little saddle so Evan can ride him!

Olivia's first dance recital

Olivia was so excited for her performance on the big stage and couldn't wait to get all her fun makeup on. She had lots of loved ones come and support her and she felt very special. She did really well but got a little sidetracked trying to look for her Daddy and grandparents. This made me so excited to have a little girl, it brought back so many memories when me and my sisters were younger. And I loved that she had her best little friend to do this with, sweet little Bella! Please don't mind that my husband looks like a grizzly bear, only one more week and then that beard is GONE!

Evan 8 months old

I am completely smitten with this boy. I get jealous when other people hold him and I just always want to be with him! It is very apparent that I indeed favor this little one. Owen told me the other day that he wishes he was a baby because then he would get treated better, ouch! Evan is at such a fun age, and I would really like to pause time. He is getting his bottom two teeth which is not fun at times, but other than that he is a happy boy! Evan just learned how to sit up and I love this last picture because you can see he is still kind of new at it.

Halloween half marathon

I completely signed up for this race on a whim, and I am glad I did, because I am sure if I put more thought into it I would've backed out. I finished the race in 2 hrs. and 9 min. and I really wanted to finish in under two hours. So this only has inspired me to train harder for my next and do a little better. The race was very pretty and mostly down hill. I was loving it until about mile 11 and I was done, but I managed to finish yea! My cute Chris and Evan were there to greet me at the finish line oh man was I glad I was done!

9 years baby!

Nine years later I can honestly say I am more in love with him now than ever before . I feel so lucky to have him and he is mine forever. This morning I asked him to name 9 qualities that he loved about me, he told me to go first because I think he needed time to think, but his qualities were so easy to mention off. Owen though quickly responded and said that I loved to shake my booty (I guess I'll take that as a good quality!) We celebrated mostly over the weekend with Owen and Olivia at my moms. We toted little Evan around with us on our date nights which he did extremely well and it was nice to just have a little peace and quiet and be able to just dote on Evan and Chris!

Evan 7 months

My little buddy can't sit, crawl, roll over, but he can sure bounce on his bouncer, smile, eat, and eat some more! He is always so happy and I finally had the guts to let him cry out of one of his feedings at night so now he only gets up once around 4 and then back up around 6:30 or 7. I am so obsessed with him and I don't remember feeling this way towards Olivia and Owen not that I didn't love them equally but Evan I am just a sucker for he can get what he wants when he wants it, and I absolutley hate to hear him cry. I think he is my little scapegoat when the other two are sassing me or just not listening to me than I go and cuddle up with my buddy he always so willing to give me loves. This is such a fun age!!

Evan 6 months old.

My little buddy is 6 months old today! I am quite obsessed with everything he does. Lately he has been eating baby food, and loves it! He still likes to get up several times in the night which I have tried the cry out method but it is too hard maybe I will give it another try in a month. He is such a happy little thing and loves to be entertained by Owen and Olivia. Happy 6 months today little one! Love you to the moon and back!

For the love of Soccer

This year Owen joined Sparta which is a great competitive league, but I have to admit I was a little hesitant in doing it, because I thought he was too young to be that busy. But he LOVES it! He has grown so much and I absolutely love watching him play! I think Olivia likes it too, because lately she has to get all dressed up in her soccer gear and asks me every minute if it is her turn to go in and play.

Girls trip to California

Me and my closest friends, Erin and Holly went for a weekend to visit our friend Lacey who lives in California! I got to tote around my little Evan with me and we enjoyed lots and lots of girl time. We did lots of shopping and consumed lots of Pink berry, yum! I am so grateful for my friends we have been friends for so long and I can't wait to plan our next trip out there!

Evan 5 months old

I am so obsessed with this little guy. He is my lover boy who I just can't get enough of. Not only does he love me back but he doesn't talk back to me or whine or tell me that I am not his friend anymore, we both are just in utter bliss with each other. He is so happy in the morning to see me and I can't wait to go and get him out of bed! We always have a little alone time in the morning because Owen and Liv don't wake up until 8 so I cherish that time so much. He is extremely loved by his brother and sister and sometimes I think I even see a worried look on his face when he sees Olivia. She thinks that you need to be right in his face to talk to him and that he is as limber as all of her babies, I mean why wouldn't Evan want his feet pulled up by his head?
And of course Olivia had to be included in Evan's little photoshoot!

Olivia's first day of preschool

Olivia woke up so excited this morning and couldn't wait to go to school just like Owen. She picked out her outfit and I have to say she did a pretty good job! First day was a success!
