Owen's Sparta team

Owen has been so excited to play up a year this year! He has been so busy with practices and I was hoping we would have a break in the summer but nope he practices two times a week and soon we will be adding more practices and games! He lives and breaths soccer and when he is not playing it he is either watching it on the TV or playing soccer games on the ipad. And as for his wardrobe, everyday he is wearing a jersey or soccer attire. I am already prepping him for when school starts that I get to pick two outfits and then he can pick one! He is a funny boy and is such a help to me with Evan, but we are getting into this stage where he is learning to talk back and manipulate me, 7 years old seems a little young to already be starting that. Looks like I have a lot to look forward too, yikes;)

The 24th of July

I love the 24th of July and every year our neighborhood does a big party with dunk tanks, blowup toys, train rides, and cotton candy! Also our neighbors, The Nobles, always host a great barbecue dinner where we then watch and do fireworks!

Abba Concert

My Mom and Dad took us out on a date night to see Abba! I grew up listening to them, so this was such a fun night with my family and Chris.

Evan 15 months

Hi Mom! What ya doing in here? I guess I'll entertain you..and show you my new trick! Okay I'm done now get me out! This little boy has grown so much in these last couple of months! We have finally tackled the crawling and he is getting really good at it! And now today he showed me that he can stand! I sure love this boy! I think he likes getting spoiled!

The Alpine fire

When I went outside and saw this it took my breath away. This fire escalated so fast and it was definitely a sight to see. My kids still ask me every night if the fire is going to burn our house. It is still burning and working its way east through the mountains. This was a little too close for comfort and I am so thankful for all of the firefighters working very hard to contain this. The fire was started from a back hoe that knicked a rock and started flames, wow look at what something little can start!

The neglected Hunter

It is sad but true this dog has been left in the dust these last couple of months:( Before I had Evan he was walked every night and sometimes even in the morning! But since Evan has come into our lives he has been neglected. I miss him. Taking care of three kids (well really 4 kids if you count my husband) takes up all my time. Whenever I get the chance to go out on a walk or run with him I am reminded of why I love him. I really think he smiles when he sees the leash, man he is so easy to please! So these pictures are from one of our night walks a couple days ago.

Baby Evan

Soon this little boy will be my little toddler, but for now he is still my baby and definitely getting treated like one! He finally learned to crawl several weeks ago, and he has enjoyed this new little freedom of his. He is getting into drawers and pulling everything out. He loves to play in the fridge and thinks its pretty cool. He loves being able to hide from me and especially his little friend Olivia (she is very overbearing with him and now he can actually get away if he is quick enough!) He is such a sweet baby, but he sure knows how to work me over. If I am present he will whine until he gets what he wants, but if I am not there he is perfectly content, little booger! He sleeps through the night very well and loves his own space in his crib. I tried to nap with him the other day and he was not having it. He wanted his own bed and own space. I am sure in love with this boy!

My first mountain bike racing experience

I have no idea how Erin talked me into this, but I did it! I have to admit it was quite thrilling and actually more fun than I thought. Towards the end I got a little lost and went of course and so bikers were lapping and passing me. I was definitely cursing under my breath at Erin for making me do it, but when it was all over I was quite proud of myself. It was also exciting to see my little fans towards the finish line!

Olivia's dance showcase

Olivia got to perform on the big stage and she kept playing it off that she wasn't that excited, but once we got there I could tell she couldn't wait to perform! This year with dance has been hard. Olivia would keep telling me that she hated dance or didn't want to go, but once we got there she was in heaven and loved every minute of it. I wasn't going to sign her back up just because she has had a poor attitude all year with it, but after last nights performance I could tell that she loved it! So I will try one more year and hopefully she won't fight me on it. And in all honesty I think she likes to do whatever opposite thing I say or do....if I like it she doesn't and vice versa. Man am I going to love raising her as a teenager, yikes;)

Goodbye preschool

This little girl is moving on up! To kindergarten she will go, and I think we both are as equally excited!!!

Evan love,

Evan is just over 13 months old and is starting to have a little attitude. As I am typing this he is in his crib for over an hour now just refusing to take a nap banging the walls, playing, talking. He is driving me a little nuts today and I am fine to leave him in there as long as he (and I) need! He is still learning to crawl and took a couple crawls yesterday, but then fell flat on his tummy. I do worry about him being behind but because he is right on socially I haven't panicked yet. The other day Olivia cried to me; "You don't love Owen, you don't love me, you only love Evan." And of course that is not true but he is the only one that still lights up to see me and doesn't talk back or even tell me that I am stupid. So I may not love him more, but yes I am definitely more sweet and caring towards him because I don't have to reprimand him as much. I know the time is going to come (and I think sooner rather than later) that this little guy is going to cause me a little anxiety and he will be with the other two causing me just as much a headache as ever. So for now he still gets all my loves and baby coos for as long as he will let me:) Honestly how could you not be obsessed with this little face?
