Owens a graduate!

Owen is officially a preschool graduate! He was so excited for tonight. He got to sing a duet with his best buddy Dayton, and they both did such a great job. Owen surprises me so much he is such a shy kid and hates having all the attention on him, but he was so thrilled to do this duet. He has made some great friends this year, and has grown so much socially and academically. He told me tonight when I tucked him in that he was going to miss Ms. Tecia. She has been such an awesome teacher, and she is so patient with all the little ones. Owen I am so proud of you! I love you so much and can't wait to be apart of all your other accomplishments.

Owen's adorable friend he met this year, Dayton. I have fallen in love with this boy, he is such a great example to Owen!

I will fight for you Ethan Stacy.

My heart is broken. I can not get this sweet innocent little boy out of my head. How on earth could a human being do such a thing? His own mother the one who should have protected him from something this horrible did not. I keep looking at my little Owen and thinking that Ethan was a year younger and so helpless. I have to do something. Ethan I wish I was there to save you, to hug you, to love you. I know you are safe in our Heavenly Father's arms now, but I wish I could've saved you from that pain. Please help me in praying for this little boy and his Dad. Lets let him feel our love for him in heaven.

To read his story, go here.

Please email or call the Davis County Attorney's Office in Layton, Utah and demand that justice for Ethan be served. Please email the prosecutor at : sheriff@daviscountyutah.gov or call:801-451-4300 801-451-4300

Meet Hunter Big Boy...

Remember Harry? Well unfortunately things did not work out so well with him and he was sold to a good family. I didn't realize how much of an impact it would have on Owen to let Harry go. So after many nights of him crying himself to sleep, and me as well. We all made a decision to get a dog! We looked into all different breeds and I was drawn to the golden doodle...so here he is finally at home. We are all so smitten with him, and he is doing extremely well! Owen is constantly reminding me that we are never going to sell this one...and he is right Hunter Big Boy is not going anywhere. Wish me luck in this new adventure!

10 of my favorite things as of lately..

1. Owen..tops my list! He is my little friend and I love him so much..I better enjoy him now because I know those awkward times are coming.

2. Olivia comes in at a close second. That is kind of mean that Owen is ranked above her, but we are in the terrible twos now and it just isn't letting up even though age 3 is closely approaching! She makes me laugh, and I love kissing her chubby cheeks.

3. Steel cut oats. I am a huge Oatmeal fan! And my sweet sister gave me some of these...I am hooked!

4. Nike Zoom sister shoes! I could wear these to bed they are so comfortable. Thanks for the awesome birthday present Jim and Mj!

5. Spring...that is when it shows up!

6. Glee! Whoever doesn't already have this set on their DVR, is missing out...

7. I actually have more of a love/hate relationship with this Dvd. I think it is so hard, but I love when I finish it, and you can't beat a 27 minute workout that makes you feel like your going to die.

8. This will always be my favorite treat; Junior mints and popcorn!

9. This should have actually been #1, and that is spending time with Chris. I love having alone time with him whether it be on a date or just watching our favorite shows together. He is my best friend and keeps me sane on some of my more hectic days.

10. Last, but definitely not least...my alone time! I need it to survive, and to function. That is sometimes how I get through my days, knowing that I will have peace and quiet to myself at the end of a day!

Our Sunday walk.

It has been a long time since we have just stayed home for Sunday dinner. I was worried that we would all be bored out of our mind, but today we made the best of it. I was so proud of Owen today! His best friend Cannon moved out of our ward, and that is usually the only way we can get him to go to class. But he went and he was strong even though he missed his little buddy! I think I am finally realizing why my Dad's favorite day is Sunday...Does that mean I am getting old?
I honestly can't post without pictures...

Photoshop is awesome (thanks for making my skin look flawless).

Our walk just wouldn't be complete without Owen whining about something...Love you Owen, You are going to outgrow this right?

Twenty-seven..

It really is true, time goes by just too fast! I always feel like I just graduated high school, but that was almost 10 years ago, yikes! I honestly had the best birthday ever. I am so lucky to have such good friends, and great family! Thank you for all of the birthday wishes, calls and texts! I love you all so much! And thanks to my husband and kids who doted on me and made me feel special all day. Jade, thanks for taking me to my favorite restaurant for lunch (Blue Lemon). And Chris thanks for playing racquetball and letting me win 2 out of the 3 games.
I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of some of my presents, and my mom was excited to see what the kids would pick out for me this year; which were; black skinny jeans (Olivia) tie dye shirt (Owen) Junior mints (Owen and Liv). Looks like Chris reared them in a better direction than last year (remember the aqua butterfly maternity shirt, and guitar shirt?) I forgot to take a picture of the cutest apron that my friend Melea got for me, maybe I can post a picture with me cooking in it.

And this yummy cake was from my friend Heather from Dear Lizzy, so yummy!

Baby Lewis...

This last weekend I was able to go to St. George to greet my new little nephew Lewis! I left the husband and kiddos at home, while I enjoyed the company of my sisters and mom and dad. Jamie, I don't think I tell you enough how great of a mom you are! You definitely did take after our mom. Love you and your new little guy!

Love these little wrinkly feet!

Good thing its Friday.

This week I have felt like a hermit, and I am so glad that the weekend is finally here. I have started potty training Liv, and lets just say I wanted to throw in the towel on Tuesday. But I stuck with it, and I think we are a success (lets keep our fingers crossed.) And since Liv has spent this whole week in her unders Owen couldn't resist going pantless, and since we had our cute Nephew with us he got to do the same. Good job Liv!
My little bud has been on a twinkie craze lately! He gets so excited to have one after lunch (if I can hold him back that long), and surprisingly Liv doesn't like them so Owen gets to polish hers off as well.
Well I am just glad I made it through this week!

Owens bringing the 80's back.

Well I guess it is already back in a lot of ways, but he just makes it look good. Owen found this little treasure today in the basement along with Chris's old stuff. Who knew our basement held such treasures!

And yes he is sound asleep, which makes this picture all the more cute.

Chapstick warning:

Just thought I would pass this along since it wasn't such a nice experience for us. I don't know why I trusted Liv with her own chapstick while we were in the car running errands, but I did. I looked back at her and she was very pale. She handed me the chapstick saying yucky. The whole chapstick was gone and consumed entirely by her. About 5 minutes later she began puking up everything, poor thing! After I got her home and cleaned up she was back to her normal self. No more chapstick for her.

Potty time.

I think we are on our way to having Liv potty trained. Do I just do it cold turkey or let her decide when she wants to go? It feels like it has been so long since I went through this with Owen.

Build a Bear experience.

We went to go see the Temple lights a couple nights before Christmas and we had a little time to kill before we met Chris's family there. So we decided to go see Build a Bear just to look around. Caution: Do not step foot in that place unless you intend to buy one for your kiddos. Owen and Liv took one look and were dying to have one. I couldn't leave that place without my kids experiencing making their own teddy bear. Owen picked out a dog soccer player named Scruffy. Liv picked out a pink ballerina teddy bear, named Dancer.

The only picture we got at the temple, after this was taken my batteries died.
